What was the hardest part about creating a WordPress website?
The most challenging part was learning how to connect HTML files through the file manager. I ran into several issues using Bluehost, and it took a lot of troubleshooting to get everything set up correctly.
Do you have any future plans for your website?
Yes, I plan to continue developing my website to make it more creative and visually appealing. I really enjoy working with full-width images on the homepage, and I want to explore more design options to better reflect my personality and brand.
Did you gravitate toward anything in particular during this class?
I found myself especially interested in learning about WordPress plug-ins. Tools like shopping carts and analytics plug-ins were fascinating to me, and I enjoyed discovering how they can add important functionality to a site.
Is there anything you feel you would like to go deeper on?
Yes, I would like to go deeper into web design, especially when it comes to creating a more polished and professional look. I’m interested in layout, color schemes, and improving the overall aesthetic of the pages I build.
Do you feel more empowered to hire or be a web designer in the future?
Definitely. This class gave me a much better understanding of how websites are built and how design and functionality work together.
What have you gained from taking this course in relation to your degree?
I recently took a course in digital analytics, and this class helped me see how to apply those skills to a real website. I now understand how to install and use analytics tools, which will allow me to track performance and make improvements based on data. This connection between content, design, and measurement is something I’m really excited to continue exploring.
